Notice of Supervision

At CORE Therapy, we are committed to providing high-quality, ethical, and effective mental health care. As part of this commitment, some clinicians on our team practice under supervision as they work toward independent clinical licensure.

What Does It Mean to Be “Under Supervision”?

A therapist under supervision has completed a master’s degree in a mental health field (such as Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology) and holds a provisional or associate-level license (e.g., LMSW, LPC). This means they are fully qualified to provide therapy but are in the process of completing additional post-graduate clinical hours and training required for full independent licensure.

These hours are carefully guided by a board-approved clinical supervisor, who is licensed and experienced in the field. The supervisor provides weekly oversight, case consultation, and mentorship to ensure safe, effective, and ethical care.

How This Benefits You

  • You receive up-to-date, evidence-based care from a therapist who is actively learning and growing in their practice.

  • Your therapist is receiving ongoing support and consultation to enhance the quality of your treatment.

  • The supervisory process ensures extra layers of accountability and reflection in the work being done.

Confidentiality

All client information remains confidential and is only discussed in supervision to support your care. Supervisors are held to the same legal and ethical standards of confidentiality as your therapist.
